AUCTION: Yo I think I'm Starting to Peak Now Al: James McNew Drawing (Pencil on Paper)

For our 2021 Fundraiser benefiting Human Rights Watch, we are delighted to offer a new addition to 100 Wild Wild Styles, James McNew's ongoing illustrations of classic hip-hop lyrics featuring his cast of fuzzy bunny, turtle and octopus.

We loved stocking copies of McNew's 100 Wild Wild Styles zine in 2015. Proud to offer this all new Beastie Boys-inspired drawing, which revisits that series.

Though best known as a member of Yo La Tengo and for his solo project Dump (Smells Like, Shrimper, Grapefruit, et.al), among a long list of collaborations and other projects, McNew is also a celebrated graphic artist, featuring a recurring cast of sweet animal friends who have inhabited his drawings and cover art for decades.
