**Since the early 2000s, Escalante has preformed and recorded with a host of international experimental and outsider jazz musicians, including: Weasel Walter, Luis Toto Alvarez, Edén Carrasco, Oliver Steinberg and Matt Mottel, among others.

***At the end of the 1990s, Yoshihide founded Otomo Yoshihide's New Jazz Ensemble, a group that played more traditional jazz.

****Otomo has also released duo albums with renowned experimental artists across disciplines and genres, including: Christian Marclay, Jon Rose, Yamatsuka Eye, Butch Morris, Voice Crack and poire_z.
